AS-201, 1966, FLOWN Heatshield (1x.33") This piece of heatshield was taken from the first test flight of the Block I Command/Service Module and was launched on the Saturn IB rocket. It is mounted in a clear triangular mount shaped to look like a Command/Service module. The piece is labeled: "Apollo S/C 009 Ablator / 18,000 mpg reentry 26 Feb 66". A rare piece of memorabilia.

Included is a copy (originals on file) of two notes found with the patches. One is a NASA card giving the official nomenclature of the patch. The other is a handwritten note stating that "one patch was (sent) to the White House per Ed ??? 7/22/69". Also included is a printed declaration from Bobbie Slayton dated 3/13/06 that reads: "This is to certify that this Apollo 1 crew patch belonged to my husband, Deke Slayton, and was given to him by Gus Grissom. It was locked in his safety deposit box along with other memorabilia. This patch is genuine in all respects". The patch has a manufacturer's tag on the reverse that reads: "Stylized Emblem Co. Hollywood, CA 90038". Extremely rare and highly desirable.

An included "Stuckey" COA reads: "Following the tragic Apollo 1 fire on January 27th, a series of full-scale flammability tests of the Apollo Command Module were performed in a Command Module Boilerplate test chamber to attempt to determine the cause of the fire. They were followed by additional flammability tests in the Command Module Boilerplate and in a Lunar Module Boilerplate test chamber to evaluate improved fire-resistant materials to allow the resumption of the Apollo flights. The test Boilerplates were outfitted with all components, including crew toiletries. This Apollo utility towel, color-coded for a specific crew member, was not used during the testing…". This towel is marked with a red patch. Probably unique today.

Apollo 6, 1968, NASA 16mm Color Film. A full reel of 16mm. color film in a NASA metal film can with the label reading: "4-17-68 / Apollo 6 Mission". This mission was the Apollo program's second and last "A type" mission - an unmanned test flight of its Saturn V launch vehicle. It was intended to demonstrate full lunar injection capability of the Saturn V and heat shield capability. Fuel line failures in several Saturn V second and third stage engines prevented the capsule from achieving injection, but the test was deemed successful overall. This is the first official film from this mission we have seen. ALSO included is a similar full roll of NASA 16mm. color film with a label that reads: "Astronaut Anniversary Film / CA". We haven't attempted to screen either roll of film, so who known what delights for the lucky buyer of this film. These rolls appear to be in excellent condition.

Walt Cunningham, after the flight, had an additional 45 medallions made, but these (Nos. 255-300) were not flown. The Robbins medallions are among the most popular of the space medallions.
